New faces

Doris jumping one of the Winwick team chase hedges on a Pytchley Saturday

Well it’s all go at Mount Pleasant at the moment!

The horses have all wintered well, and we have some new additions to the team.

Graf’s Espior (Hope) 16.2 6yr old skewbald by Grafenstolz has come to us embark on her eventing career, she is owned and bred by long term supporters and friends Jo and Ian Slaughter. She hasn’t been jumping for long, but has already taken to it like a duck to water loving her 2 trips to Aston le Walls to see what the game is all about! I’m sure she will be a lot of fun to ride and will make her owners/breeders very proud.

Royal Promiss owned and bred by Teresa Swift is another of the new additions. He is a lovely 5 year old by Royaldik, who has already started his eventing career with Sophie Miller as a 4 year old. He has all the talent and scope that I would look for in a future star so it is very exciting to have him as part of our team!

Doris has LOVED his 10 days hunting over the winter and I can already feel massive benefit when we went XC schooling at Aston. Fingers crossed his confidence continues to flourish as I really believe he has a 2* win in him.

Monte has come back in feeling fantastic, and loved his 1 day hunting but unfortunately ended up having to have a thorn removed from his knee 👎😱🙄. However we are back on track, just very frustrating as it did our partnership/friendship the world of good. I think that no matter how good a partnership you think you have, especially the older ones it’s so important to keep it fun and fresh for them.

Bess who I got out of training with Pam Sly last year is blossoming all of the time and is becoming a real pro.

George has had 2 days hunting which he loved, he has strengthened up a lot, it’s taken time as he is 17.1hh!

Ed is very pleased the season is on the horizon, and Fread is still on holiday with his best friend Donks. He will come in at the beginning of March as he is huge and still growing!

We have some very exciting new supporters for the 2017 season too – Musto and Saxby’s Cider have joined Comfybed Plus my main sponsor Topspec and other supporters Horsescout and Protexin all of whom are a huge part of the team’s success. Have a look at my sponsors page for more details.

We are still looking for a groom to join the team – apply here! Also got two stunning Childeric saddles for sale – check out my Facebook Page for info.
